Funny thing happened to me today while waiting to get gas at a local station. So I was in the turn lane waiting to turn into the station as traffic was busy on a nice day, when another car pulled in behind me waiting to turn also.
Normally I don’t get my buttons pushed, but today was a good day, and I didn’t feel like having it messed up. So I waiting patiently to turn in and noticed another car that I had passed in the turn lane trying to turn into the exit. Traffic cleared and I turned into the entrance and began pulling towards the one empty pump I saw. Well about this time, the fellow pulled into the exit and pulled through the station and cut in front of me. Meanwhile the car that had been behind me pulled beside me and tried to cut in front for the pump spot as well. Now the fun part was I knew the dad who had pulled in the exit, not well, but his wife was clearly embarrassed as he backed into the pump. Still the car beside me inched its way up like it was going to try to take the spot. So I honked my horn and the lady who was driving looked up and I motioned with a questioning manner just what she thought she was doing. I was settled into pulling behind another vehicle and waiting my turn while this lady backed up and pulled forward about 8 times trying to go around the pumps to another place that had opened up going the other way. I was still asking myself how someone could be entitled to think she deserved to bypass not one but two cars that were in front of her. As the fellow in front of me pulled out and waved for me allowing him room to back up, I pulled into the spot and got out of the car to open my gas cap. It was about this time, I heard a voice from the other side say, “happy now?!” I leaned around the car to see this woman standing at the pump waving her arms and continuing to ask this question. To which I responded, “I am now that I’ve obeyed all public and posted laws to get into my spot safely!” She yelled B!tXX at me to which I responded, “I see you’re not only confused by common courtesy but by gender also.” Now of course this got her lit up a bit to which she reeled off a few more expletives in front of her teenage daughter in the car and I commented, “great parenting.” Well of course that made her even madder to which she responded, “you don’t worry about my daughter.” So I left the obvious comeback alone as my gas was nearing completion. I hadn’t responded in a minute or so while she continued to speak loudly from the pump, causing a few giggles from several patrons who didn’t understand just who she was talking to. As I walked around the front of my vehicle to get in the driver’s door, she decided to blurt out, “Racist” and flipped me off. By now it had been several minutes since I responded to any of her remarks but I decided this one couldn’t be left alone. So I stopped, looked at her car, which was pretty beat up and even had duct tape holding the front bumper on, and I kinda put my head down and laughed a bit. And just before I went to open the door, I leaned back, smiled and said, “Ma’am, you’d be better suited in the future to save some of that duct tape from you bumper for your mouth! Have a good day!” As I drove away, I could see her anger boiling over and thought, I just filled up an SUV from nearly empty, how much gas could that crappy Camry take?
I tell this story for two reasons, hopefully you got a giggle, and secondly, many people think that the rules and common courtesy don’t apply to them. If you come into money, or don’t, have the decency to just be a good person. I know there are times you have to roll up and defend or protect yourself, but part of the problem with this country is that we’ve become so self-centered on what “we” deserve that we don’t take into consideration what other’s need.
Let’s jump into the breakdown:
10-27-2024 Nader From The Mid East Now we can pay with the Iraqi dinar anywhere in the world. From Iraq I can pay people over here [United States]…For now it’s 1310 but I can send you $500. I’m talking about business, I’m not talking about person to person. I’m talking about business. Before we’re not allowed to do that… Um, hate to break this to you genius, but Iraqis could buy things all over the world at the same rate you can exchange the dinar at a currency exchange. I can go to the currency exchange at my mall and exchange my dinar for USD. I’ve spoken to several Iraqis who use credit card here and it works just fine. They still get a crappy rate, but it works nonetheless. No news here.
10-24-2024: Judy Byington – BOOOOM!!! The gold/backed BRICS Currency Note to be used for international trade (replacing the fiat US Dollar) was introduced by BRICS. Nope, the BRICS did not approve a currency. They are discussing a currency, called the Unit, here’s part of the problem, they want it backed 40% by gold and 60% by country currency. If you look at where these countries lie in the balance of gold power, Russia and China who would be the leaders for the nations are only 5th and 6th respectively, in gold reserves. No other BRIC country breaks outside the top ten other than one. Consider the problem facing the creation of new currency that would be backed by a number of countries on different continents. The problems with exchanges, synchronicity, and the system needed to make this work worldwide. How many US businesses are you gonna walk into and say, “may I pay in units?” It will be difficult at best. Now there IS a possibility of crypto type digital currency they could try to implement but that still seems to be at least a year away with how things have been with crypto internationally. Keeping it secure with the backing of assets seems to be proving a daunting task.
The last thing I want to address is a favor for an old friend. She sent me an email this week and asked about something someone had sent her that stated the EBS would be triggered and all kind of chaos would ensue and store up food, water and black out your windows. I’m sorry, but I have been inside the inner workings of the capital building and other chambers over the last two years to believe too much in conspiracy theories. Mind you, there are conspiracies, they just a huge check and balance system that eventually makes it impossible to get many things caught before too much can get out of hand. So for those that got an email from some joker saying the dude from the Rodriguez family trust was giving everybody the lowdown, yeah, I made some calls and the family trust thing doesn’t have a lot of credibility in regard to the IQD. Besides, I deal with a lot of people that consider themselves important. The one thing I’ve learned about people that truly have a lot of money and wield a great deal of power, they don’t wear an old plaid shirt and sit at an old wooden desk in front of a paneled wall or plain white painted drywall. Hope this helps some of you and your week gets off to a great start. Have a good day!! Hahahaha
