Oh how quickly they’ll forget I’m sure, or there will some glitch in the system, someone had travel problems, or maybe they got stuck in a porta-john, but there’ll be some excuses coming down the pipe you can bet on…
So it’s Monday, and where are the gurus that swore it was definitely going last week, the numbers are on the screens, the whales have gotten paid, and this is my last post? Nowhere, because their contacts are crap. You don’t need some super secret garbage man at the CIA to get real information. It’s out there, and no one talking to their contacts is going to get you any closer to the truth. WE WILL ALL KNOW AT THE SAME TIME! It’s just that simple. Iraq continues to show signs of economic growth and prosperity but there are restrictions that limit that, and until they are lifted, the progress will continue to trickle out. So if you’re Big fake call person, or a wolf in sheep’s clothing follower, I would suggest you boot them to the side of the road and keep making your own plan. Because nothing they tell you will help.
10-28-2024 MarkZ We should know this afternoon if what we are hoping for has happened…I have great hopes that a lot happened over the weekend. Bankers usually check in at 2 or 3 pm once they get out of morning meetings. Oops, mark this one off as well. Too much day drinking perhaps.
I notice the felon’s brother has been quiet the last week, that’s always a good thing, but you can add him to the list as well.
So let’s discuss some planning things, because I got a comment yesterday that said, “I can’t afford to plan right now because I don’t have the money to.” Well I can tell you this, if you use the time you spent reading guru posts and put it toward your own planning, it’s time far better invested. The kind of things you need to know don’t require money at this point, but it will make your future much more profitable. There are a lot of questions you need to ask yourself, so let’s look at a few.
1. Do I need a trust?
2. How does my bank handle breaking up large deposits?
3. Have I already written, notarized and given any letters of donation to individuals?
4. Have I determined how much I need to live on without touching the principle?
5. What is the absolute amount I need to pay off debts and/or relatives debts?
6. Can I afford to buy a house, and if so, is it better to pay cash or get a loan with a low interest rate?
7. Do I have a will?
8. If I’ve determined my debts and amounts to live, do I have a table of what my currency would be worth at different values? (ie. .10, 1.00, 3.00)
9. Do I need a CPA, a financial planner or a fiduciary investor, and does my bank offer these services?
10. Do I have a prioritized list of things I NEED to purchase vs a list of things I WANT to purchase?
It doesn’t take any money for these other than a will, and those are pretty cheap. But knowing your priorities for things you want vs. need will go along way in protecting any wealth you come into. So time spent hearing three or four gurus frustrate you with how many times it hasn’t happened could very well be the difference of you establishing real generational wealth for your family. Do your homework, ask questions, research tax laws and investment principles. You many not deal with these things directly when this happens, but it also may allow you to know who to trust with your plans once it goes down. It also may avoid you getting taken by unscrupulous people who’d take your money because of your failure to understand your choices.
Enjoy the silence for a day or so, I’m sure they’ll be back with their excuses and new guarantees by Wednesday. Have a great start to the week and we’ll talk soon. Don’t forget your questions to [email protected]. See ya.
