This armored truck, escort business is just plain silly…I have my currency in a depository and I hold an SKR. The buyers have their payment for my “Private Contract” sale, deposited into a COLTAF account, and when the big event happens, I do nothing at all. I just check my bank account online to make sure the amount is proper. As much as I disagree with the armored truck theory, this one bothers me as well. First of all, not every bank will issue an SKR, and secondly, per Wells Fargo’s statement, “Wells Fargo Bank: Offers safekeeping services for securities purchased from Wells Fargo Securities, LLC.” Did you purchase your currency from Wells Fargo? They may not accept it. The other list of banks that openly say they will give an SKR for currency is: JPMorgan: Offers custody services that include a secure place to hold assets, partnerships with investment managers, and timely notifications of capital changes. Chase does NOT offer SKR’s per their management. Sunstate Bank: Offers safekeeping custodial accounts. U.S. Bank: Offers custodial services that provide safeguards for assets. Other banks that offer custody services include: State Street, Bank of New York Mellon, and Citibank. Again, these “custody services” are limited by restrictions AND you’re subject to additional fees and service charges. How scared are you to drive to the bank like a normal day and turn in your dinar? If you have enough you’re worried, just get a safety deposit box, bank robberies are on the downslide anyway.
11-18-2024 PompeyPete The most important thing IMO…we’re waiting for is the release of the 2024 budget with amendments which contains the new International rate. That new rate will be applied to the budget upon release. There are far greater things we’re waiting on than the 2024 budget. Consider, they are almost two years through a three year budget and HAVE NOT IMPLEMENTED A FULL BUDGET yet in the past 20 years. They can pass all they want, but until they actually fully implement a budget, they’ve accomplished nothing. What if the rate comes out and there are still restrictions on the exchange of dinar internationally? This is why the budget is a second rate priority in my book.
